speed date.

good wednesday afternoon to you!

i am so super excited to join up in my first link up! nicole at this little momma shared a little bit about her and then decided to turn it into a blog speed dating sort of thing and i think it's awesome! what a great way to meet many other bloggers and get little guys like me out there and introduce myself to others :). thanks nicole!! i haven't really shared a whole lot about myself on here yet - so here i go, get ready!

- i always wanted to start a blog, but was too scared to do it myself. i didn't think anyone would ever read.
well i started blogging for one of my college classes. we were asked to blog to the whole world about our faith, what God was teaching us, and what we were learning from the books we read. from there i decided to turn it personal (that's part of the reason some of my posts are available anymore.. i changed the name and such and didn't and still don't know how to link them together.. whoops!)

- i am a Christ follower.
i grew up in a 'christian' home but only really attended church becuase that's what i thought we were supposed to do. it wasn't until i was on my own in college that i truly longed for my relationship with Christ.

- i am married to the most wonderful, amazing, Godly man the Lord could have ever blessed me with!
we call him mr. b :) we met in college our freshman year at a super bowl party. i told all my friends he was the man i was going to marry.. it just took 3 years to convince him to date me first. (i'll be sure to share that fun and amazing journey with you here sometime!) we started dating in january of 2009, engaged in march of 2011 (you can read that story here) and married in september of 2011. our wedding day was perfect!

- i love lower case letters.
i prefer to use them at all times instead of using proper grammar :) the only letters capitalize are ones to describe my Creator and Savior!

- i went to school for interior design and ended up with my degree in ministry but work for an insurance company.
i thought i had all my plans figured out (don't we all feel that way??) i studied interior design for 3 1/2 years, then i felt the Lord calling me into women's ministry. i studied ministry for 1 and 1/2 years. now i have a huge passion for ministry and still really really REALLY enjoy interior design on the side and have even designed a few homes and one made it into a magazine! :) somehow through this all.. i ended up here at an insurance company in sales. but that's all another story for another day as well.

- i want to design my house, inside and out someday and i want my dad and family to build it.
i also studied a lot of architecutre and my dad is a builder. this would be my dream to design and build our home someday!

- i want to have lots and lots of kiddos.
i always said i wanted to have at least 3 kids, but then i started getting older and started wanting more. we don't have any kiddos yet, but now i'm thinking at least 5 kiddos :) mr. b is still set on three, but we'll see how things turn out when we start growing our family! we would also love to adopt as well if the Lord wills and tossed around the idea of homeschooling!

- relationships are my biggest hobby.
community is super important to me. it's amazing what local community can do for relationships, marriages, and friendships with each other and God. this is one of our biggest struggles right now.. finding community, so that's why i'm super thankful for the friends i have who live a little ways away and even my bloggie friends! :)

- i love to craft and enjoy being a diy-er.
mr. b and i have our own work spaces downstairs so we can craft (or for mr. b, we call them projects :)). i work full-time so i don't have near as much time to do anything.. but  i have lots of ideas you can find here and plan on someday accomplishing all of them plus more i know i'll continue to find :)

- i am addicted to coffee.
i love a goooooood cup of joe! i'm pretty sure not a day goes by without a cup of coffee for me - whether it's from the local coffee shop, my french press, my espresso maker, or the keurig from work... i love to drink coffee. and when you combine the coffee with relationships that's the best! :) i would love to sit down with a cup of coffee (or even tea!) with you and talk about life!

so this is a little bit about me :) join in the link up cause i would LOVE to get to know you too!!

This Little Momma

I loved this post and what a great first post of yours to read. I learned a lot about you! I've seen a few of these speed dating link-up posts, so I might just have to write one of my own this weekend and link-up before the party closes! I love meeting other bloggers.

  6. Hey girl!!! What a fun little hop Nicole put together isn't it? My husband and I have 4 littles. It's a challenge at times but they are the best thing I've ever done! We've thought of adopting later on as well. I suppose we'll see what road God shows us. Have a GREAT weekend!!!
