bearing fruit.

what a fun weekend! i got to do lots and lots of fun stuff :) we hung out with some awesome friends that are so encouraging and wonderful ministry partners as we all long to see the kingdom grow! and speaking of growing - mr. b. and i also got some wonderful flowers planted and our landscaping all up to par for the spring and summer season as well as started our first garden!! :) i'll show you more photos of that later this week!

here is some wonderful encouragement i heard this morning in church.

"i am the vine; you are the branches. whoever abides in me and i in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. if anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. if you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. by this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples."

this is awesome to know that when we are digging into the word of God it is growing us and we are able to bear fruit! Jesus says twice in here that we are to bear fruit and gives specific instructions on how to do so - by having his words abide in us and that we know our Lord and Savior! Jesus LONGS for us to know him personally! i am so encouraged by this to dive into the word and learn more about God - so often i can get busy with life and before i know it.. days have gone by without even opening my bible. i need to do better at making sure i am making time for God a little bit each day and know that when i do that, i will bear much fruit. this is so rewarding to read, know, trust and believe in! i hope you've been encouraged too!
