cheddar jalapeno poppers.

monday. monday. monday.

i had such a great weekend! i got to spend some time with my lovely mom whom i cherish so much. i also got to spend some time alone this weekend. my husband had a great friend of his over to do their 'manly things' so i hung out upstairs and caught up on some relaxing and reading!

but today is back to work. bring on the work week!

i wanted to share with you the MENU monday recipe. today i'm sharing an 'appetizer' if you would like to call it.

b loves jalapenos. i can't have spice.. which is a bummer, so i made these for him and some friends we had over.. but then for some reason after they baked, they weren't spicy and i got to try some myself! i think they turned out delicious! next time b would like me to keep some seeds in his so there's more kick for him :)

here is the recipe:

cheddar jalapeno poppers
source: we made them up ourselves :)
total time: 15 minutes
servings: 4 servings (approx. 3 per person)

6 jalapenos cut in half and scrape out all or some seeds depending on how you like them on the heat level.
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
10 bacon strips cooked and crumbled.

1. place the jalapeno halves onto baking sheet. place shredded cheese into each jalapeno (however much or little you want, i love cheese!!).
2. then add the crumbled bacon on top.
3. cook in oven on 350 degrees for approx. 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
4. take out, let cool and enjoy! serve with a side of sour cream if wanted. :)

ratings: b loves them and so do i! it's great even if you don't like or can't have spicy foods! and would he eat them again? he's currently sitting next to me and saw the photos and said 'hey! we need to make those again soon!' so i think that means he would ;)

let me know if you get a chance to try these tasty friends and then let me know what you think :) i love comments!
